The battery is a standard-off-the-shelf 12 volt DC, 10-12 amp-hour ACM battery.
Required time to charge The Mule:
A totally dead battery takes up to three days to recharge. But there is no need to wait until the battery is totally dead as it may be trickle charged between uses.
Recharging the battery:
You recharge the battery just like you charge a cell phone. The charger plugs into the back of The Mule from any 110 Volt AC outlet.
Battery charges last:
A fully charged Mule will can lift 100 pounds of weight approximately 125 lifts (up and down) before needing to be recharged; other weight loads will affect the maximum lifts per charge.
